Grub Control

WHAT ARE GRUBS?

Lawn Grubs, often called White Grubs, are the immature form of different beetles, such as Japanese Beetles, June "bugs" (beetles) or the European Chafers. They feed on grass roots and organic matter in the soil, causing sections of turf in the lawn to die.

SIGNS OF AN INFESTATION?

Turf may lift easily like carpet from the roots being fed upon. Turf may also show signs of animals (skunks, raccoons) digging in the turf looking for a meal.

BENEFITS OF AN APPLICATION?

A Green Drop grub control application can help to prevent major damage from occurring by reducing feeding time on the roots of the turf plant. As well as limiting damage from animals looking to feed on these grubs. Annual applications are highly recommended to control population levels.

WHEN TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION?

Treatments are determined by your GreenKeeper to be performed at the appropriate time as per the life cycle of the grubs. Weather and other environmental factors are considered prior to an application to ensure optimal control. Applications are generally completed in late August.
